The black onyx seed beads are woven by hand into a simple but classic geometric pattern. Connecting the chain to the tassel is a 14k white gold and diamond filigree centerpiece from the 1930's. Inspired by the turn-of-the-century jewelry, this necklace is a unique take on the original Sautoir. A sautoir is a french term for a long necklace that suspends a tassel or an ornament.
